A Little History About CGP Studios…

CGP was founded in 1969 by Paul Rochman, the current president and managing partner of the company. Specializing in catalog and promotional printing, we started in business as Color Graphic Press, Inc. Initially, CGP provided customers with graphic arts production services, including typesetting, art prep, prepress, finishing, and ink-on-paper offset printing production.

As more clients asked us to coordinate complete project management for their catalog publishing and advertising production, CGP expanded to include a full photography studio at our operation in Long Island City.

In short order, we were doing graphic design and creative development. By 1992, after we got our first Macs and PC's up and running, CGP started to do complete concept development and design for catalogs, brochures, promotional work, and advertising, thus becoming a complete creative-production resource for clients.

In 2000, we moved our design and photography studio to Hudson Yards in mid-town Manhattan. Around this time we also started providing digital printing and imaging services in addition to our standard high quality offset print production services. By expanding our production offering, we were able to deliver to clients large format graphics and signage, dye sublimation printing on fabric materials, vehicle and window graphics, billboards, and variable data printing for one-to-one direct marketing projects.

The advent of wide format digital imaging services also made it a natural progression for CGP to design, produce and install trade show booths and displays for conventions, conferences, and event management projects.

A few years into the new millennium, as CGP was already managing large databases to store the growing libraries of our clients' digital photo & art images, we began to offer a digital publication service as a complement to our print production services. And that lead us to provide website design and development services.

In 2010, we bought, completed renovations, and moved into our current headquarters and Studio-3 operations in beautiful Nyack, New York, overlooking the Hudson River along the Palisades, just a few miles north of New York City.

As we've added video production to our traditional photography studio and also added 3-D imaging, augmented reality, and other digital imaging special effects capabilities geared to web and mobile interactive media, our Visual Media Studio has become a unique resource for companies and organizations looking for excellence and value for their image, design and media production management. Together with our Design Studio and CGP's continually evolving Production Studio, the Visual Media Studio serves as a model for the multimedia creative-production service center of the future.

It doesn't stop there, though. At CGP Studios the beat of the power of three goes on and on and on.
